The compatriot of Prekmurje from Bogojina, retired auxiliary bishop of Maribor, Dr. Jožef Smej, is an extraordinary personality of our time. His work far exceeds his professional and local sphere. The bibliography of his works includes titles from theological, historical, linguistic, literary, and other fields. He was the founder and editor of the anthology 'Stopinje', which has been published since 1972. He wrote several books on the history of Prekmurje places and their great people. His living word still speaks to many today, guiding people towards the good, the beautiful, the honest, the humane.

God's servant Alojzij Kozar also speaks through the film, who years ago in 'Stopinje' published the story 'And you welcomed me', in which he described Bishop Smej as an extraordinarily good person, who draws his goodness from a deep life connection with Christ. Excerpts from this writing of Kozar are also portrayed in this film, which thus brings us even closer to the images of our great people and invites the viewer to take similar steps.
