The Shroud of Turin
In Jerusalem’s fires, a man rescues the shroud, eventually bringing it to Constantinople, where the emperor reveres it. During a public display in a church, the shroud is venerated, but it’s soon taken away by another man, securing its mystery and sacred legacy.
After Jesus rises, leaving his shroud in the tomb, Mary Magdalene and others discover the empty tomb and are told of his resurrection by angels. Jesus later appears to the women and his disciples, who witness his wounds and recall his suffering and triumph.
