Mission of Our Team

In Slovenia, for the longest time there was no such thing as Christian Film, especially not as frequently, and not on the level that Studio Siposh does it.

The Challenge

Film as an art form brings multiple challenges. The first one is in the very nature of the art, how it illustrates the world and relationships; and the other is in relation to the author, to discover the limits. The challenge is to present the world through the camera lens, especially when we’re met with - in the modern society often times unwanted and even removed - Christian themes. That’s exactly why in our team the basis of our work is acknowledgement of such themes, to bring out the great stories and shunned events of the past. The challenge is to tell the stories in a way, that compliments the film language, regardless to our principles.

The Mission

Our mission as Christian creators is to spread the message of God's love and Christian values in this world. We are exploring the inspiring lives of saints, Christian lore and tradition while striving to find new artistic interpretations to spread the Gospel in our time.

The Truth

In the world of documentary endeavor, the core principle is to always tell the truth. Though the film in itself is a lie and fiction by it’s nature; in the centre of the message - whether it’s a documentary, or narrative films, based on real events, the main goal is to go for the truth. Following this principle gives us immense sense of relief.

The Testimony

Every new film we make, long or short, our power to spread the message is increased. We strive to make amazing work from the need to share our beliefs and principles. The central characters of our films are the epitome of this work - Vovk, Grozde, Smej, Gnidovec, aunt Mara, sister Tončka, and many others.

The Future

There is a plethora of stories, topics, fates and songs that haven’t yet found their way to the screen, or even the camera. Some of them come from our viewers, others are discovered by us. We want to make a film about Slovenian exodus of 1945, Kočevje Rog; and about Slovenian inventors and innovators living in the US and elsewhere around the world. Saints, such as Slomšek, and candidates involving Knoblehar, Magdalena Gornik, Baraga, Kozar, Majcen and Mahnič are waiting for us, too. One major topic on our radar, are the martyrs of the 20th century, the first one we covered was Grozde.

The Support of Our Work

Our work is supported by people, like you. With your contribution, our work for both Slovenian space and the world, can continue. We’re always glad to hear from you, how the films we make touch and move you, and what stories should we uncover for the world.

Sincere thanks for your support!
