Queen of Peace / Kraljica Miru

The docudrama Queen of Peace is a story about a forgotten place and newfound faith; a film narrative that reveals to us a fragment of the human life of Our Lady and her presence in our lives, here and now.

Our ancestors were turning to Our Lady on Kurešček for many centuries, and the church is said to have stood there as early as the 15th century. As the church became the destination of an increasing number of pilgrims, it was enlarged in the early 18th century. It became a popular pilgrimage site, where thousands of people made pilgrimages before the Second World War.

Queen of Peace is a docudrama in which we may have gone a step further than in our work so far. In addition to the personal experiences and turning points in life of the portrayed subjects and the re-creation of the famous biblical scenes, we also opened the question of God's plan for the individual, His concreteness in everyday life and our openness to Him.

In the documentary part, we meet witnesses who, in their authenticity, share their own experiences. The play, however, shows Holy Mary's path; the path of a simple girl who gives birth to the Savior and the path that we rediscover over and over again - to Mary, who is Our Mother.

Mary walked an earthly course that is walked by all of us. Despite the death that she had already felt when she accepted Jesus, she pursued Peace, and she also grants it to us today.
